Golden Oliver "G.O." Pierce, age 71, formerly of Ozark, passed away Dec. 2, 2001, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield. He was born March 4, 1930, in Alton, the son of Leafton and Leta (Norman) Pierce. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Pierce worked as a salesman until retirement.
Survivors include: A son, David Pierce and his wife Joan, Harrisonville; his wife, Mary; four grandchildren, Jason, Jill, Ann and David; Mary's children, Lorie, Larry, Becky, and Charlotte; and Mary's grandchildren, John, Carrie, Amy, Aaron and Jessica.
Graveside funeral services were Dec. 6 in Cave Spring Cemetery, Alton, with Rev. Barry Pfister officiating.
