Robinson's senior season at Clever capped by All-Mid Lakes First-Team selection

Riah Robinson’s 21.9 scoring average has earned her a spot on the All-Mid Lakes Conference First Team.

Robinson’s senior season at Clever this season saw her score 613 points, while shooting 44 percent from the field. She had 939 points in two years with the Lady Jays.

Robinson actually started this season by making just 3-of-18 field-goal attempts and scoring a season-low six points against Ava. She went on to score in double figures in Clever’s remaining 27 games and had 19 games with 20 points or more.

Robinson had a career-high 37 points against Buffalo and also went over 30 by netting 32 opposite Marshfield.

A Crowder commit, Robinson’s 3-pointers shot up from 27 as a junior to 72 as a senior.

The rest of the First Team includes Strafford’s Emma Compton, Lauren Jones and Matti Walker and Skyline’s Miranda Quennoz and Justine Barb. All five first-teasers are seniors.

Clever senior forward Ruthie Brown is a Second Team selection.

Brown’s norms included 9.8 points and a team-high 7.8 rebounds a game. Of her 218 boards, 87 were offensive rebounds.

Brown posted eight double-doubles. A William Woods commit, she had 16 points and 12 boards versus Ash Grove in the Class 3 District 12 championships game.

The rest of the Second Team is made up of Fair Grove’s Ashton Bell and Kameron Green and Strafford’s Emma Mullings and Laney Humble.

Lady Jays sophomore point guard Ireland Jones received honorable mention recognition.

Jones averaged 12.2 points a game and led Clever with 98 assists and 68 steals. At 5-foot-5, she averaged 5.0 rebounds a night.

Jones collected 21 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals against Crane.
