The Sparta Persimmon Days Festival was held in Sparta’s Roller Park on Friday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 18. The event included over 80 vendors, selling items such as crafts, food, jewelry, clothing, and more. Live entertainment was also a part of the event, with the band Not Too Shabby, the Ozark Dance Academy, and the Steve and Heather Show giving performances under the main pavilion. The festival also included a parade held on Sparta’s downtown Main Street. Sadly, the thunderstorm which rolled through the area after the parade forced the festival to shut down early.
