Eighty-one veterans returned home to a hero’s welcome from throngs of supporters after a day-long trip to Washington D.C., courtesy of Honor Flight of the Ozarks (HFO), on Tuesday, July 7. During the trip, the veterans had the opportunity to view monuments including the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. The veterans also had the chance to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
