OZARK, Mo. – Beginning farmers and ranchers in southwest Missouri will have an opportunity to gain practical knowledge, connect with agricultural professionals, and learn valuable business strategies at the upcoming Beginning Farmer/Rancher Educational Event on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2026, at the Ozarks Technical Community College Technical Training Center (FTC 103) Richwood Valley Campus in Ozark.
Hosted by University of Missouri Extension in partnership with the Christian County Farm Bureau, MFA – Ozark, FCS Financial the event is designed to help new and aspiring agricultural producers build a strong foundation for a successful farming or ranching operation. Attendees will receive practical information on forage management, livestock production, and financing opportunities that are critical to launching and sustaining an agricultural business.
“This program focuses on providing the practical knowledge and tools beginning farmers and ranchers need to establish a successful operation,” organizers said. “Participants will gain insights from experienced agricultural professionals and learn strategies that can be immediately applied to their own farms and ranches.”

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Ozarks Technical Community College Technical Training Center, located at 3369 W. Jackson Street in Ozark, Missouri. Registration is $10 per person, and a complimentary BBQ dinner will be provided for attendees.
