Eighty-one veterans returned home to a hero’s welcome from throngs of supporters after a day-long trip to Washington D.C., courtesy of Honor Flight of the Ozarks (HFO), on Tuesday, July 7. During the trip, the veterans had the opportunity to view monuments including the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. The veterans also had the chance to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. more

Rivers were a big part of my life growing up, and still are. As a kid, I would dig for worms and catch grasshoppers and crickets, and go fishing. Sometimes it was with some buddies, but mostly, it was just me, my dog, and my fishing pole. We were poor back then, so I would bring home what I caught, and grandma would fry them up for supper. more

OZARK, Mo. (June 30, 2026) – Arvest Bank is pleased to announce that its 16th annual Million Meals campaign has raised a record $633,513, providing more than 3.16 million meals to fight hunger across the bank’s four-state footprint. Of this amount, $2,290 will directly support Least of These Food Pantry in Ozark. more
The City of Billings held Sparks in the Park, the city’s annual Independence Day celebration, on Saturday, June 27. The event included live music, food trucks, vendor booths, a swimming pool for kids, foam for children to play in, and fireworks at dark. There was also a competition to see who came as the most patriotically dressed. more
