Rivers were a big part of my life growing up, and still are. As a kid, I would dig for worms and catch grasshoppers and crickets, and go fishing. Sometimes it was with some buddies, but mostly, it was just me, my dog, and my fishing pole. We were poor back then, so I would bring home what I caught, and grandma would fry them up for supper. more

It was Independence Day, as dusk began to fall on the land. An old Indian stood on a hill with his son, enjoying the magnificent view of the valley below. The land they looked out upon was once their ancestors’ land. They lived there together in peace. They hunted, fished, trapped, and planted crops to help support their tribe. more
